Installation

If EMIS Clinical System is used as the Medical System, please ensure that the EMIS API has been configured in EMAS manager before installing the application for the first time. To learn how to do this please read our EMIS API article.

If TPP SystmOne is being used no specific configuration is required.

Please read System Requirements before attempting to install GP-Billing.

We recommend saving a copy of the installer to your local shared folder for installation on other terminals, once GP-Billing has been installed on all computers please delete the installation file to prevent using an outdated installer in the future.

In order to download GP-Billing the PC being used must be connected to the HSCN network, if your Medical System is working this means that the computer is connected to the HSCN network. Click here to download the latest version of GP-Billing

Make sure that the clinical software is running and logged in on the terminal.

Run the installation package for GP-Billing and follow the on-screen instructions. Once installed, a new GP-Billing icon will appear on the desktop.

The first time the application is run on a terminal, it needs associating with the clinical system.

Select the type of clinical system, enter the organisation ID and click [Next].

You will be presented a screen in you clinical system requesting use of the partner API.

Your new GP-Billing instance will now be deployed into the AmazonAWS hosting centre.

GP-Billing will now synchronise information from your clinical system to minimise manual configuration, click [OK] to start the configuration.

As the first user connection, setup your terminal using the default branch and till, this can be changed later in the application settings. Select [Main Branch] and [Main Till] and click [Save].
